Ohh WOW this caught me off-guard in the best way possible! First of all the fire animation and all the ways you use it is really cool, the sprites and are lovely-!
The Wishmaker as a tale (as it's told in the story!) is a really simple but effective horror story, on the surface/around the campfire it might not've sounded like much-
Which is why I legit gasped audibly when the choice came, I really enjoyed the direction this took!
I am very glad that you, like seraten04, make your own solo games. Although I adore games from Hyakuten Games, it is still interesting to learn about your individual approaches to creativity. This game is very organic in its laconism. Although I would like to know Paul's wish...))
Thanks for the comment Malia and thank you for playing so many of our games! It really means a lot! Iโm so glad you enjoyed the game ๐. I still feel like quite a newbie when it comes to making solo games so I try and do something a bit different each game so I can learn more about writing and the game engine. Iโm hoping to create some longer games in the future as well ๐.
Iโd like to think that Paul wished for something selfless at the end but who knows….
You are doing great! You have something to tell and express to others and it is wonderful. It is difficult for me to express it in English, but in your stories there is some urban glimmer that shines through all the fairy tales of games even in ''Wolf in the Woods''. And it is intriguing. Maybe it is just a mature view of old stories. Anyway, I wish you strength and patience to express it in a long game one day.
Thank you so much for the lovely words โค๏ธ. Iโm so happy that my games give you that feeling. I feel very inspired by fairytales and I really like how morals are intertwined in those stories ๐.
Thank you for your wish. I hope that like The Wishmaker I can make it come true. ๐
